Local and Global Missions
Don, aka “Pirate Don,” is originally from South Africa, but crossed the Atlantic to the U.S. in his 20’s as a crewmember on a small sailboat (without any prior sailing experience). In his earlier years, he was a trapeze artist, then a soldier in the Angolan War. Don met Jill, an Orange County native with an MBA and a love for other cultures, about 35 years ago, and together they raised two boys who have now successfully “launched” (well, almost). They have a heart for missions, once taking the kids and spending a year sailing around the Caribbean showing the Jesus film. Don and Jill love helping people step outside of their comfort-zone to serve others in Jesus’ name, both at home and abroad.
