From greeting our guests with a smile to handing them a bulletin and answering any questions they might have, the welcome team plays an integral role in making people feel at home.

The worship team helps prepare our church to connect with God. There are several ways you can serve: either on stage as part of the worship team, or behind the scenes as part of our Audio-Visual team. Both are integral parts of our worship experience. If you have a desire to use your gifts for God’s glory, then we would love to have you join our team.
Leader: Cheri Rothenberg
One of the greatest investments you can make is investing in the next generation. Each Sunday, our children gather in age-appropriate settings to do crafts, play games and learn about God in a safe, loving environment. If you would like to pour into the future of the church, then we’d love to talk to you about serving in our children’s ministry.

Fresh Beginnings Ministries is a faith based non-profit organization which exists to assist and serve people experiencing homelessness and near homelessness. We provide food, training of mentors, and personal supportive care to an under served community. https://freshbeginningsministries.com/
Missionary: John Begin
Homelessness is a very real issue in our community. Thankfully, both the city and the church have taken an active role in addressing it here in Costa Mesa. Working together, we are striving to love our hurting neighbors and help them find refuge. And it’s working. Over the past two years, our efforts have helped over 300 homeless find permanent housing. John Begin is a full-time missionary with Trellis, a parachurch organization dedicated to supporting the outreach efforts of churches in Costa Mesa. John has been walking with the homeless in Costa Mesa for years and he now leads Trellis’ homeless initiative. Don, aka “Pirate Don,” is originally from South Africa, but crossed the Atlantic to the U.S. in his 20’s as a crewmember on a small sailboat (without any prior sailing experience). In his earlier years, he was a trapeze artist, then a soldier in the Angolan War. Don met Jill, an Orange County native with an MBA and a love for other cultures, about 35 years ago, and together they raised two boys who have now successfully “launched” (well, almost). They have a heart for missions, once taking the kids and spending a year sailing around the Caribbean showing the Jesus film. Don and Jill love helping people step outside of their comfort-zone to serve others in Jesus’ name, both at home and abroad.
Missionaries: Craig and Sarah Marshall
Craig and Sarah Marshall work with Wycliffe Bible Translators in a Southeast Asia country, focusing on Bible translation and seeing people’s lives changed through understanding and putting into practice God’s Word. They are mentoring three national translators, who are beginning to facilitate Bible translation in three new language communities. Sarah consults for different translation teams doing a final check for Scripture portions throughout the country.
Craig is also providing interim leadership for the Bible translation office in the provincial capital, and they are planning on moving back overseas in early February 2022. The Marshalls, who have four grown children, are based out of San Diego, CA when not overseas.
Missionary: Marty and Becca Hooper
Marty Hooper, founder of International Evangelism Ministry, has traveled to more than 30 countries to evangelize and train leaders. When he and his wife Becca are not evangelizing across the globe, he loves to come alongside pastors and leaders within the church to equip them to reach their community with the good news of Jesus Christ.
