From greeting our guests with a smile to handing them a bulletin and answering any questions they might have, the welcome team plays an integral role in making people feel at home.

The worship team helps prepare our church to connect with God. There are several ways you can serve: either on stage as part of the worship team, or behind the scenes as part of our Audio-Visual team. Both are integral parts of our worship experience. If you have a desire to use your gifts for God’s glory, then we would love to have you join our team.
Leader: Michelle Getz
One of the greatest investments you can make is investing in the next generation. Each Sunday, our children gather in age-appropriate settings to do crafts, play games and learn about God in a safe, loving environment. If you would like to pour into the future of the church, then we’d love to talk to you about serving in our children’s ministry.
Leader: Orlando Sanchez

Missionary: John Begin
Homelessness is a very real issue in our community. Thankfully, both the city and the church have taken an active role in addressing it here in Costa Mesa. Working together, we are striving to love our hurting neighbors and help them find refuge. And it’s working. Over the past two years, our efforts have helped over 300 homeless find permanent housing. John Begin is a full-time missionary with Trellis, a parachurch organization dedicated to supporting the outreach efforts of churches in Costa Mesa. John has been walking with the homeless in Costa Mesa for years and he now leads Trellis’ homeless initiative. We have found that the most lasting impact happens when we can build relationships. God has blessed Lighthouse with a long-term relationship with Pastor Refugio “Cuco” Gonzalez and Project Light Ministries in Tijuana, Baja California. Several times each year we make a day-trip down to Tijuana to support Cuco in his ministries. This often includes putting on outreach carnivals for people living near his church as well as ministering at a Men’s Rehabilitation Center. The team also brings clothes and shoes to distribute to the needy within the surrounding community. This is a wonderful mission opportunity for older children and adults. Plus, there’s no cost to participate.
God is on the move in Costa Rica, and we love joining Him. We have partnered with pastors in the cities of Jaco and Manuel Antonio to help them reach their communities with the love of Jesus Christ. If you are interested in participating, our next trip is February 17 – 25, 2018. It will be both relational (ministering to children and impoverished families) and physical (we will swing a hammer or two).
